For eleven months, we celebrate the slow pace of life here, but then harvest time arrives and the winery shifts gears: the press is running, the fermentation tanks are in use, and everyone is hard at work. During those weeks, we open our doors and let you taste the same grapes at three different stages of their life cycle—all on the same day.
We begin among the vine rows, with a freshly picked bunch to chew on—skins and seeds included: that’s where you can tell what it will become based on the characteristics you can already discern.
Then we head into the winery, where you’ll taste the fermenting must—sweet and cloudy—right next to the tanks.
Finally, you ’ll taste the wine produced from the same vineyard a few harvests earlier, now bottled.
Three stages of the same product in just a few hours: it’s the most direct way we know to illustrate the journey from soil to glass.
The tour concludes with a seated tasting, optionally paired with local specialties.
One of the few wine tourism experiences in Friuli-Venezia Giulia that can only be enjoyed during the grape harvest.
Small groups, limited dates: we're also working during those weeks.
