Let them steep

Friday, November 27, starting at 6:30 p.m. An evening when wine takes a back seat and lets tea take center stage.

For one evening, let’s put wine on the back burner and make room for another drink that, upon closer inspection, resembles it more than you might think. Wine plays the important role of the common thread.

Ciro Fontanesi, one of Italy’s leading experts on tea culture and Eastern herbal infusions, will host the evening. Together with him, we’ll discover that behind every cup lies a specific region, an altitude, a climate, and a harvest that varies from year to year: tea has a terroir, a vintage, and a character, just like wine.

We’ll start with green tea and black tea; then we’ll move on to the aromatics counter: petals, zest, berries, and herbs. There will be an entire table of scents to explore, where everyone can choose their favorite, taste it, and add or remove ingredients to create their own custom blend.

In the meantime, alongside the cups, the wineglasses will arrive, and we’ll begin to discover the bridges between the two worlds. The same scents interpreted in two different languages: once you’ve recognized them, you’ll find them everywhere.

1

The Origins of Tea

Let's explore green tea and black tea: where they come from, how they're processed, and how they taste, with guidance from Ciro Fontanesi.
2

Your blend

Flowers, fruits, and herbs are laid out on the table to smell and choose from: everyone creates their own tea by blending the different aromas, and then we share our stories.

Why Visit Us

Find out what people are saying about us—maybe they'll convince you, too.
A flawlessly run winery! I was lucky enough to experience and learn about the meticulous process of winemaking!
Luca G.
I went with a couple of friends for a simple wine tasting, and I came home with two bottles of Friulano and a big smile on my face. Mara and Nicola are such genuine people; they make you feel like a guest in their home, not just another customer to be dealt with. It was one of those days you remember—and that make you want to come back.
Martina B.
Nicola is always such a welcoming host, and you can really see and feel the care and passion he puts into everything he does. The new location is beautiful and definitely worth a visit, and the wines are excellent, of course. Highly recommended!
