Ribolla Gialla:characteristics and personality

Ribolla Gialla Friulana is a wine with a strong character, with citrus and floral notes that make it unmistakable. Its color is a straw yellow with greenish highlights, typical of ripe white grapes, while the aromas are intense and fresh, with notes of yellow-fleshed fruit and white flowers.

On the palate, Ribolla Gialla is characterized by its freshness, balanced acidity and pleasant taste, making it perfect to accompany fish appetizers, light first courses and grilled fish main courses. The peculiarities of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, such as its temperate climate, proximity to the sea and the influence of the Alps, give Ribolla Gialla Friulana a unique identity. The soil, which is characterized by a mixture of clay, marl and sand, gives the wine a typical minerality and flavor complexity that make it able to best express the territory of origin.

Ribolla Gialla Friulana: at what temperature to enjoy Friuli Venezia Giulia's wine

Serving temperature is one of the elements that can make a difference when tasting Ribolla Gialla Friulana. This wine, with unique organoleptic characteristics, requires a specific serving temperature in order to best express its complexity and personality.

But what is the ideal temperature for serving Ribolla Gialla Friulana? Generally, we recommend serving it between 10 and 12 degrees to fully appreciate its freshness and liveliness. However, the serving temperature may vary depending on the type of Ribolla Gialla Friulana you have on your hands. For example, a Ribolla Gialla Friulana Riserva or Aged may require a slightly higher temperature than a younger, fresher version.

In addition, the serving temperature may also vary with the season: in summer, for example, you might opt for a slightly lower than average temperature for a cooling effect.

In order to best serve Ribolla Gialla Friulana, it is important to use a suitable glass that allows the best appreciation of its organoleptic characteristics. In general, it is recommended to use a tulip-shaped glass that allows the aromas to be concentrated inside and to better appreciate the complexity of this wine.
